The God of Demented Men

As the god’s defecate upon us,

We devour their vile doctrine,

Our minds are drowning in pus, Our souls are devouring the swine.

Upon words of the past we build futures shallow,

Upon lies of decades we build lives of tomorrow,

Swiftly begins our descent,

Scream for those we leave behind in sorrow.

Our tears are lost in holy incantations,

We choose to place faith in the unseen,

We tempt fate with our degradations,

What a race to a god incarnate, we must seem!

Are we truly man or are we god’s mirth?

Do we make god to be great, for we have said so?

Have we ever heard the gods say they are greater than men?

Why then do we kill to be greater than fellow men?

Our god’s are fools living in our minds,

We build nations of guilt cemented with lies,

We pile those bricks higher,

Unknowingly building our funeral pyre.

We wish to be the white and the guiding light,

Yet, we diminish the light with our actions,

We define rules to clothe those emotions,

And we say we’re gifted with second sight?

Such be the slight of man upon his own race,

We are afraid to show our one true face,

That is, that man is the one and same,

Regardless of the god he worships in shame.
